California settles with Kmart, sues Target - Denver Business Journal:

The state’s attorney general, Jerry Brown, joined by districtg attorneys from manyCalifornia counties, including Alameda, Santqa Clara and Contra Costa, filerd a suit against Minneapolis-based Target (NYSE: TGT), saying it sent hazardouxs waste to various landfills in violation of state law. The suit is mean to stop the practices. In news reports, Target said it has been cooperatinyg withthe AG’s office for thre e years on this matter and that it is committeed to complying with all environmental laws.
